Voice acting and pixar bloopers

I've always enjoyed watching footage of voice actors in the studio, with the headphones on, saying the lines for their character. I like seeing how they get into it, while only having a mental image of the setting, scene, etc. I mean, they're in a small room, and they don't see what's happening in the scene yet, because it's not animated yet.

I also wonder about the bloopers Pixar used to do during the credits of their films. I often wonder if they're thought of in advance and the actors record the scripted bloopers for fun, or the actors mess up and the crew likes it so much that they make it into a blooper. Or maybe both. Either way, recording bloopers sounds like a bunch of fun and laughs.

  1. I also have been really impressed and entertained at how much voice actors get into their character. Specifically Robin Williams and Tom Hanks, both were known to be very active in their voice recordings and many bloopers were actually animated to fit their mess ups.
