The LEGO Batman Movie

Yeah, we've all seen The Dark Knight. Whatever. That s#!t's in the past.  Christian Bale? Never heard of him.

Will Arnett is the future and I will put all of my love and support behind him.

First of all, Batman as a comedy is such a great idea. He is easily one of the most serious/dark superheroes. The whole movie basically makes fun of that and uses it to its advantage. Second, its LEGO. LEGO's inherently can not be taken seriously. They are the pinnacle of childhood and will be seen that way by most people. If you think a lot of people think animation is for kids, imagine the amount that think LEGO animation is for just kids.

I disagree with them, because I, a 19 year-old man/boy, was laughing the whole way through. The LEGO Batman Movie is easily in my top 5 movies of all time.

Have you seen The LEGO Batman movie?? If not, do it.

  1. I love Lego Batman and I really appreciate that they tied in some of his side character's from the comics: Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson and some of his side villains that don't get much attention on the big screen. They did change the backstories and personality for the sake of the parody but it was done with respect and helped tell the story they were trying to tell a story I didn't think would be told with Batman for a long time, that he needs people. Batman is so often the lone dark knight and it's getting old. The film finally addressed the family that he's been growing for quite some time in the comics. 4 robins, 2 batgirls, black bat, the signal, BatWoman, Cat Woman, and an assortment of pets it seems no one but Lego Batman was willing to admit Bruce Wayne is a harried father (with almost 8 kids, a teasing wife, and a family dog cat cow and hell beast or at least in the comics that is)

  2. I'm not too much of a superhero fan, but I loved the Lego Movie from 2014 (Will Arnett's performance was great), and people have been telling me great things about the Lego Batman movie. So I'll add it to my list of things to watch!
