Is there a future for hand drawn animation?

Before we got into the topic of Anime I remember we watched a short trailer on Miyazaki. It was about his new short film called Boro The Caterpillar and his transition from his old school way of animating to the new school, using computers instead of and drawing his animations.

I remember watching the film, surprised by the fact that they hand drew every frame. My question is:
now that technology is so advanced, is there still a place for and drawing every frame like Miyazaki use to do? For me, the only pro that I see for hand drawing is the fact that it is very impressive when people realize that everything was hand drawn, other than that I don'y see much to it.
What do you guys think?

The New Spider Man!

Yesterday I saw spiderman with some buddies and we all walked out absolutely giddy! This animation is the best animation to hit the theaters in 2018. Period. I remember watching it and as I was watching it thinking, "thank god I already finished all my reviews because I don't think I can put into words how good this movie is in just a page". The style of this animation is something you have never seen before from Hollywood. It is absolutely stunning. It follows traditions of comic book artists with bright colors, dark lines on the face, and a pop art texture overlayed on top of everything. My breath was taken away during the final fight scene: it was gorgeous , emotional, and the stakes were made clear in every shot.
