In Response to: "Animatrix" by Desiree
I totally enjoyed the Animatrix and its awesome styles as well. But the stories were what damaged my feelings for it. The tales slowly became more and more broken up, feeling as if the Wachowski Brothers were getting lazy. They would enter some unique themes, and then immediately leave them. However, the way they left wasn't like a cliff hanger, it felt as though they had backed themselves into a metaphorical corner, and, not knowing how to end it, just took the easy way out by making it open. Thus, in the end, they're "allowing the viewer to think", which is just, to me, a fancy way of saying, "we don't know, so you should try and figure it out."
