The Addams Family

I woke up to my friend from home telling me the news that the beloved family, The Addams Family, is going be an animated film.

Why?

I truly don't understand why they have to remake this amazing family, and shove it into an animated film. Thinking about it deeply, part of why I don't like how this is happening is not that I don't like how it will be a remake, but I dislike how it will be animated. Nothing that happens in the Addams Family needs to be animated, its just about a family with very different interests. There aren't magical effects, or anything to crazy!

I personally feel that if they remade it but kept it live action, then it would get better hype and turn out to be more successful, but we just have to wait and see until it comes out.

    I didn't know they were making an animated Addams Family and now I'm sad. like you said there's nothing supernatural about them, they're just that eccentric goth family that people avoid unless they want their money, but I feel like presenting them in an animated film will lend itself to the supernatural. Also, out of all of the styles they could have picked to animate this in they didn't utilize the style of the original comic strip fully.

The New Spider Man!

Yesterday I saw spiderman with some buddies and we all walked out absolutely giddy! This animation is the best animation to hit the theaters in 2018. Period. I remember watching it and as I was watching it thinking, "thank god I already finished all my reviews because I don't think I can put into words how good this movie is in just a page". The style of this animation is something you have never seen before from Hollywood. It is absolutely stunning. It follows traditions of comic book artists with bright colors, dark lines on the face, and a pop art texture overlayed on top of everything. My breath was taken away during the final fight scene: it was gorgeous , emotional, and the stakes were made clear in every shot.
