I was thinking about when we discussed the Disney and Pixar animation shorts in class and how the company packages shorts with featured films. The first thing that came to mind was Finding Dory and the short that came before it, Piper. I thought it was interesting how Disney packaged its shorts to provide an extra incentive for people to go to the theaters to see the short.

  1. Yeah! Now that you mention it, I find it interesting how the shorts are shown along with the feature length films, too. Now I'm wondering; how would they show their animated shorts to audiences if they couldn't do it that way?

  2. I agree with you how it is interesting that Disney and Pixar are starting to put animated shorts in front of their films. Personally, I think it is a great idea because it opens a new field of film (shorts) to an audience that might not have been introduced to them too much. Something interesting when I see these movies in the theaters is that most of my friends and family don't like how there is a short in front and think that they usually go too long (I.E. Frozen Fever in front of Coco). I wonder if Disney/Pixar should keep the films to a specific time limit when placing them in front of feature lengths to maybe produce more popularity?

I am however a huge fan of them!
