Nostalgic feelings with The Pixar Story

I really enjoyed watching, The Pixar Story. It made me feel very nostalgic, as it clearly had to do with most of our childhoods. Even just watching the Pixar graphic with the lamp jumping on the ball like made me feel so sad. This whole story just revolves around Pixar and how this computer animation came to life bringing us the wonderful films like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and obviously many more amazing films. Which I guess is why it makes sense as to why I feel sad when watching all of these things.
I think this is why the Walt Disney Company is so good with making films and are able to keep people wanting more. Not only does watching the film make us feel nostalgic because we watched these films in the past, but with all the films they make there is always something nostalgic in the actual story itself. With every film they make, and the characters they create, the world they make gives us the ability to look back within our own pasts. Many of their movies can bring to mind, a vision of the “good old days”. It’s a bit ironic as these films are the new way of technology with animation, and seem to have pushed the old ways out.

Enjoy this Pixar Parody I found on Youtube:

  1. I felt the same exact way. I honestly loved every second of The Pixar Story. It was so interesting and obviously very nostalgic. I find it funny how even though these films are kids based and targeted towards young kids, the theaters are usually filled with grown men and women.

  2. I agree with this totally. Nostalgia is such a weird feeling and it's hard to put a finger on but Pixar nails it every time. On a general level, these films really defined our generation so its no wonder we are all so emotionally connected to it.
