Mary Poppins Returns!!!

I am a person who LOVES musicals, but in all honesty, I have never seen the movie Mary Poppins. I mean, I have seen the stage production once, but never the movie. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of the music in it, but who cares that's not the point of this post. 

Even though I have never seen it, I know about the mix of animation as well as live action with the dancing penguins. That scene to people I know is very iconic, and at the time it was released was considered amazing to most people with how cute and magical it is. When watching the trailer for the upcoming sequel, Mary Poppins Returns, I noticed that they still dance with cartoon penguins, that happen to be 2D just like the first!

Personally, I think it is genius how they kept the 2D animation in the newer film, because it gives off a sense of nostalgia for fans of the original I think! I obviously haven't seen the new one yet so I don't know if it is all in 2D, but I wonder what it would be like if they changed it do live action with 3D animation instead.

What is your guys' opinions on Mary Poppins bringing back the 2D animation with live action in this 2018/19 sequel?

    I think it'll be interesting, since there's a resurgence of classic 2D animation being turned into live-action. I have a good feeling about, Beauty and the Beast was a really good live action movie turned from a 2D animation film. I like that there's gonna be a good synthesis of old and new animation in a great way.

    I too haven't seen either film, but I think if it didn't have the 2d animation included, it would lose its "Mary Poppins" charm entirely

The New Spider Man!

Yesterday I saw spiderman with some buddies and we all walked out absolutely giddy! This animation is the best animation to hit the theaters in 2018. Period. I remember watching it and as I was watching it thinking, "thank god I already finished all my reviews because I don't think I can put into words how good this movie is in just a page". The style of this animation is something you have never seen before from Hollywood. It is absolutely stunning. It follows traditions of comic book artists with bright colors, dark lines on the face, and a pop art texture overlayed on top of everything. My breath was taken away during the final fight scene: it was gorgeous , emotional, and the stakes were made clear in every shot.
