All Disney "Live Action" Remakes Are Dumb, Change My Mind

Sorry if this is too controversial, but going off of people being upset about the new "live action" (aka CGI) Lion King, I just wanted to say that I think all these new Disney remakes of classics are dumb. Granted, I've refused to watch any of them so I don't know if they are ACTUALLY bad, I just think the action of making them is bad. Beauty and The Beast, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, these Disney animations are classics and don't need to be redone for people to still enjoy them. I think making live action versions of these are just money grabbers that are easy to make instead of trying to come up with new stories, not that that surprises me from Disney. (Sorry Bob Iger). These worlds exist best in animation because it captures the magic and whimsy these stories are creating, if Disney released new animations instead, like for The Lion King, for example, using new technology or whatever even that would be cooler than what they're doing. By suing CGI for these films and trying to make them real I think it ruins the fun and magic because instead of taking advantage of the magic of animation, they're just focusing on the realism. Now it's just going to be a movie with a bunch of lions doing stuff looking pretty much real, if I wanted that I would just watch the nature channel or whatever. Even with Cinderella, Dumbo, or Beauty and The Beast with the CGI Beast guy, I feel like it's weird to rely so much on animation for these new movies, but then still call them live action. I hate remakes in general, but I really am not a fan of these (that includes this new Mary Poppins, too). Sorry.

    I agree the re-makes are a dumb. These movies were amazing and don't need to be re-made. Disney will always be able to make money off these films so remaking them seems next to pointless if anything I think they should be remaking or adapting some of the movies they made in the past that were promising but that for some reason or another didn't do well. Those that have a cult following but that released on a bad weekend or just didn't get their stride. Films like Atlantis and Treasure Planet. Keep in mind I love these films and think they are already great, but in my opinion why remake a film that has and always will make you money (in merch and things) like the lion king when you can reinvigorate properties you already own. Just my opinion on how to handle the reboots if we have to do them at all.

The New Spider Man!

Yesterday I saw spiderman with some buddies and we all walked out absolutely giddy! This animation is the best animation to hit the theaters in 2018. Period. I remember watching it and as I was watching it thinking, "thank god I already finished all my reviews because I don't think I can put into words how good this movie is in just a page". The style of this animation is something you have never seen before from Hollywood. It is absolutely stunning. It follows traditions of comic book artists with bright colors, dark lines on the face, and a pop art texture overlayed on top of everything. My breath was taken away during the final fight scene: it was gorgeous , emotional, and the stakes were made clear in every shot.
