When will it stop?
Recently on these blog posts I have seen a lot of complaints about big companies like Disney and Pixar making wayyyyy too many sequels and just milking films that they had already made. I don't think that it's hard do see what Disney and Pixar is doing, but my question is, when will it stop? I mean eventually they're going to have to run out of films to take from right? For example, is there ever going to be an end to the MCU? Or is Disney ever going to stop remaking animated films into live action films? Is there an end to what they are doing or do you think that it's going to be an endless cycle?
I think the answer we all want to hear is yes it is going to end, but the real answer is no (or at least not for a long while). Take Toy Story for example, the first one came out in 1995, it was a bit of a gamble but it did well, four years later a sequel comes out, fine, good. Then eleven years later, Toy Story 3, and now nine years after the third movie and twenty four whole years after the original, Toy Story 4. We though it would be the last one with two, then with three, now hopefully, four will put it to rest. But who knows, they'll probably be rolling out Toy Story 16 when I'm on my deathbed.
