Seven Sins
I have never been an anime fan by any means. One of my closest friends from home, DJ, is a huge fan so through him I have been forced to see quite a lot of anime shows. One show in particular was used by DJ to try and turn me on to the anime world. The Seven Deadly Sins is currently on Netflix and just released its third season. I have since learned that season one was, in the words of DJ, "worth every minute of every day." This statement was followed by a sigh of disappointment while speaking of season two, and yet another sigh for season three. I would be lying if I said that DJ was unsuccessful in making me love this show. I may not enjoy anime as a part of my entertainment, but the Seven Deadly Sins is a show that competes with Rick and Morty for my weekend mornings. Of every anime show that my friend tried to get me into, this one takes the win. It has a focused plot that is funny, sad, thought provoking, and not over dramatized. However, I agree with DJ in the opinion that the second and third season are iffy. The second season has no plot at all, the characters simply go through daily life, and the third season starts to slip back into the traditional anime that has "extreme drama and too much fantasy"- self quote.
