Quest For Camelot
Being home for break means seeing all of the old animated movies I watched when I was younger on the shelf where they've been sitting for years. One that caught my eye was Quest For Camelot, a movie I completely forgot existed but watched a lot. For those that don't know what this movie is, it's the story of Kayley, a girl who wants to be like her father, a Knight of the Round Table for King Arther (but not dead), but her mother wants her to be a good medieval girl and just get married. Enter Ruber, who wants to force Kayley's mother into marrying him and helping him over through King Arther. Ruber creates a mutant army with some weird poison and heads to Camelot. Kayley, meanwhile escapes Ruber's army and heads to the forest to try to make it to Camelot to warn King Arther about Ruber. In the forest, Kayley meets Garrett, a blind man, and his pet falcon Aiden, who acts as his eyes, and later a two headed dragon.
It's a weird movie and it definitely isn't the best but I loved it and its weird trying-to-be-Disney-so-bad self. the worst part is how good some of the cast is, Gary Oldman voices Ruber (the bad guy), Pierce Brosnan voices King Arther, Eric Idle voices one of two headed dragon's heads, and the singing voice of Kayley's mother is Celine Dion.
This movie is weird, and bad, and wonderful and if anyone remembers any other weird non-Disney movies form childhood please let me know.
