Miyazaki's Impact

This is more of an observation than anything, but reading this week's readings really surprised me. The fact that one person can essentially have his own category of animation is insane. Before we dove into the topic of Anime I was never knew about Miyazaki, but after doing some more background research on him after doing the reading I kept on getting that "ohhhh, I know what that is," thought.
Something that really blew me away was when I searched his name up on YouTube. It wasn't his animated films that popped up, but rather the sound track to his films. When I clicked on one of the videos I was shocked to hear them. They all sounded familiar.
Does anybody know the music genre called "lo fi"? Usually people listen to these songs when they are reading, studying or just relaxing and I listen to it all the time. I realized that Miyazaki's soundtracks is lo fi. I found it super cool because not only did Miyazaki play such a big role in animation, but he's also making an impact with his music.

How cool is that?
