Exploring the possibilities of animation
After watching the ParaNorman behind the scenes documentary, I noticed the 3D printing that was used in creating the different faces in an efficient and easier fashion. I think it's so awesome how you can blend science and art like that, which is actually something I'm doing as I'm minoring in physics with a Cinema Photo major. It made me think about how I could actually implement my experience in 3D printing while doing something actually very cool like animation and working with people who are actually good at animation and stop motion. It makes me excited about the endless possibilities of animation.
I also think the synthesis between art and science is really interesting! I think a lot of modern art takes a lot of modern technology and understanding of basic physics to be created. Especially in the fact, like you said, that lots of 3D printing has become popular in animation. Without the innovations in science and technology our animation techniques may not have progressed.
